Where Did Summer Go?

Summer is almost over, and it's my bad for not updating our blog sooner. There are so many things to write about. So, for most of you, we're friends on other social networking sites, and for the ones that are not my electronic friend elsewhere, you've probably seen me at one of the many gatherings this Summer.

We have had the most amazing Summer, this year was the best by far of any other Seattle Summer. The temperature has been hot, we've had more sun than rain, and we have been able to travel.

I've managed to hit up CA, Vegas, Eastern Washington, Kalispell, and now we're headed back to Montana this coming week. Not to mention, Mexico is less than 2 months away now! So, we're doing pretty well. Everything has been so eventful. It's nice to have been able to do all of this.

Our next accomplishment will be sending Payden off to school. His first day of Kindergarten is September 2nd. I'm struggling with this life-changing event slightly. And when I say slightly, I mean I'm crying every 10 minutes because I simply cannot stand the idea that he is growing up. Yesterday was his pre-school graduation party, and I could hardly talk about it. Too funny! One day, I'll look back and remember how amazing this time in our lives was, especially when I see Payden graduating high school/college....crazy to think about.

I'm posting the photostory video I created for my grandma and grandpa's 50th Wedding Anniversary.....I'm in the process of making a video for the whole 2009 Summer. I'll post that as soon as I can. Loves...

A Weekend in Cali June 2009

So, I just got home from California....Payden and I took the adventure down to Placerville to see my mom...or, to her and Payden, she's simply Grandma. We flew out Thursday night and stayed all three days in Placerville. It was so nice to finally catch up with family, complete the planning efforts for my grandparent's 50th wedding anniversary party, and to just spend time with my mom. She's such an amazing person. I have to give her credit for so much!
Every time I'm with her, I'm inspired to do more, to give more, and to be a better mother. I don't think that I could have made it through the hard times if it wasn't for her patience and encouragement. Time has flown, I'm 28 years old, and its finally come down to the realization that I need to strive to be like my mother, as in aspire to be great! Love you Mom! Thanks for an amazing weekend!

Tball Weekend and 'See you Later' to the George Family

I'm not trying to get mushy here, but I seriously miss my friends....already. They moved yesterday. Jake and Lydia are headed to Florida, driving across the country to live as far away from Washington as they possibly can. I think it's great that they're doing this, but I still miss them. But, this weekend was fantastic!!! Being there for all of their events and spending this last weekend with them was something I wouldn't miss for the world. I'm happy for them and wish them all the best in their adventure.

Also, Saturday consisted of a wonderful Tball game! Payden is soooo good!!! He gets slightly frustrated b/c the other kids aren't as talented as he is (coming from an objective opinion, of course....yeah right). He wants Mom to pitch instead so he can hit like a big boy, as he says.

So, enjoy the new photos! This weekend, we're headed to the Oregon Coast for Memorial Day and then, in 2 weeks, we're headed to CA to see Grandma!!! Gosh, we're busy!

Disneyland and Mother's Day Weekend 2009

Hi All,

I'm finally taking some time to update our blog site. Gosh, it's been a while. There has been so much flurry and craziness around here that I feel like I'm starting to get overwhelmed, but in a good way.
Last weekend was our trip to Disneyland...yep, we took Payden to the happiest place on Earth. He LOVED every minute of it. I was so excited to walk through the gates with him and see his face light up. But, I think my hopes were a little too high for that moment, as he still didn't understand what he was in for! We walked through the gates and he saw Main Street. I think he was slightly disappointed b/c there weren't any high rise rollercoasters that he could immediately see. So, we decided to take him on the first ride that we could, so he knew what was going on. The first one was the Star Tours Ride. He LOVED it!!!! As we got off that ride, he was in Heaven. He finally understood what we had been telling him all along. :)

We hit every single big rollercoaster. Payden is tall enough to go on all rides. He loved Space Mountain, The Matterhorn, Thunder Mountain, Splash Mountain, and Indiana Jones. He did them all without fear. He kept telling me that it was the best birthday present ever!

I have to say that it was also the best Mother's Day weekend that I could have asked for. After spending a solid 14 hours in Disneyland on Saturday, we decided to hit the beach on Sunday. Laguna Beach was our final destination. It was absolutely beautiful. We played in the sand, relaxed, shopped, had a fabulous dinner on the water, and enjoyed being a family. That's what we are........a family, at last! I love this feeling, and I love having my two boys around. It's the best gift I could have received. I didn't need the flowers or the gift certificates.......I just needed to be with my family. Last weekend will go down as my all-time favorite trip!

So, enjoy the snap shots! There are a ton on my Myspace and Facebook, so these are just a few, but they're the best ones!

Payden and Me...

It's Sunday, and thank goodness I have time to catch up on th household chores that have been haunting me. I have a slight case of OCD, so when the house is in disorder, I freak out...but, time to get it all cleaned up. P loves to help. He vacuums for an hour...our house is not that big, but he feels like he's contributing. I love these days that we get to spend together. He woke up this morning, and said, "Good Morning, Sunshine." It was adorable. Our plans today include cleaning, laundry, and the skate park. Oh, and I have to go shopping.

The shopping is for a meeting scheduled for tomorrow afternoon that I'm extremely nervous about. It's a high level meeting with Finance VP's and such. I have to impress. I have to know what I'm talking about, and I have to be convincing of the proposal. Still, even though I know the ins and outs of the initiative, I am nervous as hell. Now, my job is great! Don't get me wrong. I'm feel extremely fortunate to have a job that is so rewarding. Honestly, it's the best fit for me. I have a team of 7 employees that I manage/support, and I have a great boss. I have a steady path of growth and professional development outlined, but it's still stressful. So, if tomorrow turns out as I plan, the meeting will be a 'big win' for our initiative.

So, that brings me to my next point. Do I work too much? At this point, I have 2 jobs, and I still manage to be mommy. So, I guess that makes 3 jobs, right? I get stressed easily, and I feel like I'm doing the right thing, but then I end up feeling 'guilty' for not being at home, being with Payden all day every day. But, I also look at the other side of the situation and realize that I'm supporting him, I'm making sure that he's involved, I'm making sure that he has proper care while I am at work, so he's not lacking in the 'love' department. He doens't need anything. He's extremely lucky to have what most 5 year olds don't. So, the question is, "Am I doing the right thing?" As I type this, I feel like I am. I believe in my heart that I've done all that I can possibly do to support Payden.

Ok, that's my thought of the day. Again, we're cleaning house and headed to the Skate Park. Every 5 year old's dream, right?

Love,
Marchelle and Payden

A Day with the Family

We had such a blast in Seattle today. We just got home and I'm so tired. A 4 1/2 year old can be very draining. But, we had a blast! Farshid ended up meeting us down there, which was great. We went to the Science Center (bad day to go with all of the kids in America out of school), hit up lunch on the waterfront, and took a nice walk. It was so calming and family oriented. I know P is tired too. He's been going since 7:00 this morning.

But, I wanted to share some great shots that we took while on our adventure!!! Enjoy!

It's time for Kindergarten

It doesn't seem right that it's Kindergarten registration time already...yes, that's right, I registered P for school last week. Let me tell you, it was an emotional event, with the realization that P has grown up already. Before I know it, he's going to be going on his first date, asking me if he can use the car, asking if he can go with his friends to the mall, etc...Or, better yet, he'll be fighing with me about the brand of shoes he'll want........Oh goodness. Farshid thinks it's funny that I have a hard time with this whole situation, but I'm the mother. So, it's natural, I think.

I can only imagine what the first day of school will be like for me. Just so you all know, I've already planned to be off work for his first 2 days of school b/c I want to make sure he gets to class ok and that I get his lunches packed just right. I know, it's not until September, but I don't care. I've already taken the time off, just to make sure he knows that Mommy will be there when he's out of school too. I'm nervous, but I know he'll be just fine. He's developing into a wonderful lil' man who loves his Mommy. I'm so thankful that he's so dedicated to me. This morning, we rode his bike and I walked to Starbucks for our Sunday morning coffee, and he went to get a napkin to wipe his nose, and brought one back for me saying, "Momma, I thinked you might need one..." I laughed so hard. It was the cutest thing.

So, I thought I'd blog about this...I guess it's just amazing to be the mom of a Kindergartner, and to know that he's more than ready to take that jump in to the world, all the while, I wish that he was still that lil' baby in my arms that smells like baby lotion. Time flies...

Sunday, February 1, 2009

Hi, Good Morning. It's Superbowl Sunday!!!!! Not that I care too much about the game, but I know that I'm going to have a blast with my friends today. Even Payden will join in the festivities!

Yesterday was one of my best friend's baby showers...celebrating the arrival of Scarlett Uttech! I can't wait to meet her. As I was celebrating the day and enjoying the company of close friends, I realized that I want another baby!!!!!! I do, I really do. To top it off, she'll be the Persian Version of Me. How great would that be? So, I talked to Farshid about it last night and he laughed at me. He thinks I'm crazy for wanting another one, naturally. I know that's how he feels, but I can't help it when I'm around other pregnant women and babies and Pink Stuff!!!!! I love Pink. I had so much fun shopping for Scarlett, that I can't even imagine what it would be like to shop for my own. But, of course, blue is great too! Payden is the best son a mother could ask for, so of course, I'm happy that I have him. I just feel like it's time to have another one.

Farshid and I are at such a great point and it's only going to get better. We both agree that we're the best we've ever been, something I've written before, but it's soooo true.

Well, regardless if I'm having another one any time soon, I still had a blast with my friends, enjoying hte excitement around another baby coming into the world, into a crew that needs a little girl!!! We've all got boys thus far! I'd also like to mention that I have the best group of friends!!! I'm so blessed to have them all in my life!
Note: Pictures are posted on Facebook and Myspace...

Payden, my Lil' Man

I figured I'd write something today that reflects on how guilty I felt this past week. I felt guilty this past week because I was extremely sick and I couldn't take care of Payden. I felt that it was in his best interest if he stayed with his dad during my down time. I wasn't in any position to clean, make dinner, do the motherly stuff. So, I sent him to his dad's house. But, when he was gone I thought that I'd taken the 'easy way' out. Farshid assured me that I made the best decision for Payden by lessening the chances that he'd get sick too. So, in that reasoning, I felt better. But, I still felt like I'd 'abandoned' him or something.

So, yesterday, I was finally feeling better and made it to his basketball game. Then, I suprised Payden with tickets to the Mariner Fan Fest at Safeco Field. A friend of mine had given me his 2 tickets for his Season Ticket Holder time slot. This allowed us to go and not wait in lines and not have the crowd of people to deal with. It was perfect! Payden loved it, kept telling me that I was his best friend, and "thank you Mommy" for bringing him there. So, even though I've been sick, I wanted to make sure that Payden was happy and content when he saw me again for the first time in 3 days! So, here are some pictures. Enjoy!!!

Saturday 1/17/09

Oh my goodness. I'm so done with the job and being stressed for Fiscal Year end, and I had originally intended to vent about the job in this publication, but I'll change the course. I'm going to brag about how well Payden did at Basketball today. He was amazing! I was so proud of him...to the point that I was running up and down the sideline of his basketball court, cheering him on. I am extremely proud of him.

He's with his dad today, which can be hard at times, but today was a good day. I was nice to them, both him and Lauren and her parents were there. It was kind of odd, but I made it through.

So, here are some pictures of Payden and his team today. I've uploaded a new movie on my myspace page as well. I'll add it to facebook too!!!!

I am finally updating this darn thing. Gosh, it's been months. I completely forgot that I even had the blog thing rollin' along, but my friends kept reminding me that I hadn't posted anything new. So, here goes.

First thing, I'm so blessed right now. Things are going so well for us. Payden is growing so fast and my relationship with Farshid is better than it has ever been. Seriously, you'd think that high school sweethearts never last, but that's not true in our case. I guess you know when you truly love someone b/c it NEVER goes away. The same feelings are there that were present over 10 years ago. So, we'll see what happens. Hopefully one day we'll be married and have our own lil' Persian Version of Marchelle runnin' around.

But, as for the one that's already runnin' around, Payden, he's great. I guess you could say that he's also a version of me. He looks just like me, I like to think. Anyway, he's getting prepped for school next year. I have to go to a Kindergarten Fair for his registration, which starts in February by the way. Yep, they make you register that early for school in the Fall. But, I'd rather get it done and dealt with and know where he's attending school next year. He'll be 5 in April already. Gosh, time flies.

He started playing basketball last Saturday. He actually did quite well. I was very proud of him. He's got skills. He was such a little ham. He certainly paid attention to his coach and listened to directions, which was great. You can tell that he's developing wonderfully. His personality is so fun and he's got a 'fire' about him. He's passionate in all that he does and he certainly loves his mommy! Yeah for me! I couldn't be more proud.

So, here are some pictures for you all to enjoy! This was Christmas and Basketball...all combined!

Mommy and Payden

Hi All,

It's time to get some other pictures posted. We've hit the pumpkin patch, finished soccer and we're prepping for Grandma to come visit for Halloween! Grandma is making Payden's costume, so I'll be sure to post photos!

These past two weeks have been crazy! But, we're doing great. Payden is so excited to start basketball here soon, and we're ready to bring in the holiday season.

Hi All,

We just got home from Montana and GG Klip's 50th Wedding Anniversary party! We had a great time. It was rushed, to say the least, but worth it. Sid was sick the entire time, but he's feeling better. Payden had a blast with all of his cousins and slept almost the entire ride home. So, enjoy the photos!

We need a Break!

Hi All,

Things are good and I'm just taking a moment out of the day to write a quick note. I haven't updated the blog in a while, and there were some great things worth writing about. The first thing is that we were very excited to see Uncle JJ and Auntie Sammy last night. They stopped by and we got to see the belly growing...yeah, I'm going to be an Auntie again and Payden will have another cousin! It was great to visit with them...it'd been a long time.

The second thing is Payden has been the sweetest little boy...over the last week, we've both been sick and every day, when I pick him up from school, he tells me that he'll take care of me when we get home. We sat on the floor, yesterday, after work, in our PJs and our tea/hot cocoa and played the Memory Game. It was so much fun...not to mention the fact that Payden is pretty good! He can beat me at the game...

We've been focusing on getting our cute little house ready for Fall...as the weather is changing and the leaves are turning. We spend more time, inside, reading books, watching movies together and such. It's be the best year thus far...and it's only getting better.

I just wanted to advertise how wonderful things are now, and how sweet my little boy is. He tells me every day that I'm his best friend and that he loves me "a-wot..." It's the best feeling in the world to have such a wonderful lil' man!

Love,
Marchelle

Work Today and Payden is Getting on my NERVES

Seriously, when we have children, it's like the largest test of patience that anyone will have to pass! Not only do you have to pass, but you have to with flying colors. No joke, because it's a part of who they end up bewing. I find myself 'freaking' out internally, for lack of a better term and it can be very stressful.

But, he's doing all right tonight. With the new computer comes new Playhouse Disney.com requests...it's really an issue...and I have to make sure he's not sitting on the computer very often. But, we're involved and that's why I'm blogging tonight. Saturday was his first soccer experience...so here are some photos!

New Computer

Hi All,

I finally got a new computer at home. Thanks goodness. It would feel like I was in exile from society when I would come home from work. But, I finally have the home office set up! It's so nice...

So, Saturday was Payden's first Soccer Game. He scored the first goal. I was such a proud mom. I couldn't believe how great he was! He has a natural skill for it. He kicks with his left foot, and that's a plus. He seemed to really enjoy it. He ran for the full hour, so it was a great way to wear him out. Moms always have their secrets, and running him ragged is something he loves, and I love it when the nap time rolls around. But, regardless, I took a ton of photos.

Hope all is well...I'll post photos tomorrow!

This Past Weekend

Hi All,

This past weekend was sooo much fun. Although Payden came down with a lil' bug, my Lil' Bug was just fine. We ended up just hanging out at the house on Saturday, and on Sunday, Rhianna and I went to the Mariner's Game. We had Diamond Club seats. It was so much fun. We literally sat in the 2nd row behind home plate. We drank and ate all that we could, considering the fact that it was free.

It was the firs time that Rhianna and I had been able to hang out together since Lydia's wedding. It was great to catch up with. So, here are some recent photos. The ones of Payden, he obviously took himself on Saturday afternoon...LOL!

Good Morning

Good morning, just thought I'd type a quick note to say that Paydizzle isn't feeling very well. He's sleeping now and has been for the past 2 hours. I feel so bad. As a mother, you just wish that it wasn't him. I'd take it for him, but of course, it'll pass. I just get anxious when he's sick b/c he's been so sick before.

I also thought I'd post a picture of my new glasses! Yes, here they are! Have a great day!

TGIF

It's another Friday, thank God! I guess it's been a relatively easy week, and I finally got to see Payden after a full 5 days away from him. That was the best part of this entire week. When I picked him up from day care on Wednesday, he kept kissing me and telling me that he missed me so much! It was the best moment EVER!
He's growing up so fast, maturing, learning to use new words, composing longer sentences and now working on writing every letter of the alphabet. He can identify all numbers, and asks me the funniest questions. I love being a mother.
So, this week included getting glasses and signing my Will documentation. I finally have it all set up as far as my full life insurance policy and the beneficiary stuff, not to mention the doctor stuff, should something happen to me. My Power of Attorney is in place, and I can feel at ease that Payden would be fully taken care of. It's a great accomplishment, I think. Also, I got glasses. After 27 years of not needing them, it's finally come down to it. I picked them up yesterday, and have been wearing them ever since. It's nice to be able to see, but it's also taking some getting used to. They're super cute, and fashionable for certain (would you expect anything less?), but not ideal. I never thought I was going to need glasses, but oh well. Next week, Payden is getting his eyes checked...

Um, what else? I guess not a whole lot, but I'll be posting some more pictures of Payden as soon as I get them downloaded from the camera.

Finally Home

So, I just got home. Sad, but true. Chicago was a beautiful city. I loved it there. We had so much fun. I can't believe how much pizza I consumed, not to mention, the hot dogs too. Farshid was determined to eat every hot dog possible...of course, for business purposes! LOL! I loved the atmosphere, the sites, the sounds, and even the wind. It was warm, and a nice breeze off the lake was just what the doctor ordered. So, here are some photos that I thought you might enjoy!
